Update & Project Life | Week 6: Honey Edition

Hello. It's been awhile, friends. I've visited here many times over the past several months, decided it was time to write a new story, pick up where I left off, just keep swimming, move on, etc. But the honest truth is, our summer has been full of more downswings than upswings and I haven't been inspired to share in this space for some time. Please accept my apologies if you have stopped by only to see the same post again and again. Today is a new day. Today I'm inviting you to "hit the reset" button with me and simply get this show on the road, because if you're here, it's likely you enjoy a little Project Life inspiration and I sincerely hope to share something that sparks your creativity. Without further ado...

First up on the agenda for a quick catch-up series of posts is a Week 6 layout from back in February using the Becky Higgins Project Life Honey Edition Core Kit. I love how the colors of this kit fit a wide range of bold and bright colors. I prefer to include photos that are processed in a "clean" way rather than using actions/presets that change the original colors to unify the photos. The Honey Edition lets me keep a wide variety of colors in my photos, yet still bring them all together on a two-page spread by pulling out similar shades from the kit designs.

This layout includes 14 photos and lots and lots of text, which is usually one of my goals for a weekly spread. While many times photos speak for themselves, I really love using Project Life as a way to sort of "unlock" the stories in my photos by thinking of what my children and future grandchildren (I pray to be so lucky) may want to know about our lives at this point in time. It's as much about jogging my own memory years from now as it is about sharing our lives with other people through my voice (and sometimes that of my husband/kids, but usually mine).

Many thanks to each of you for spending a little bit of your time here today. I know you have an abundance of places to find PL inspiration and I very much hope you've found something here you might use in your own memory keeping. Next up I'll be sharing some paper layouts, more digital layouts featuring alternatives to the weekly approach to Project Life (travel, special events, photo shoots, etc.) and even some stamping goodness. I hope you'll stop by again soon.

T.
