Project Life | Seattle Travel Layouts: Rain Edition

Welcome back, friends. Today I'd like to share with you several travel layouts I recently created as sample pages using the Rain Edition Core Kit for Becky Higgins' TV segment at the Craft ‘n Create trade show in Las Vegas (CHA Summer) last month. Unfortunately, I was at work during the show and don't know if any of the pages were shown in the segment, but regardless, I couldn't be happier with the end result from this amazing trip. Travel pages are so much fun to create with Project Life products and I have big plans for a Europe album using the new Vintage Travel Core Kit (exclusive to Michaels stores). The project below only took a few hours from start to finish. Here we go!

I originally created paper versions of these layouts for the trade show, but decided to recreate them digitally to keep for myself (I may redo the paper ones eventually, but I was craving some digital design time). In June, I traveled to Seattle for the annual Human Brain Mapping conference and while I did actually spend a lot of time at the oral and poster presentations (including my own), my best photos were taken during the few sightseeing adventures I was able to enjoy that week. I traveled on my own, took only my phone and P&S camera and was blessed with the most awesome weather and beautiful skies Seattle has seen in some time. I found the city to be one of my most favorites in the U.S. and would happily travel there again anytime!

Featured Products: Becky Higgins Rain Edition Core Kit (paper) and www.digitalprojectlife.com (digital) designed by Nisa Fiin and Design A Page Protectors (for original paper pages, digital are shown below). Page protector template shown is from Digital Design Essentials (download free here).

Page 1 (Cover Page): Includes the most awesome (iPhone!) panoramic photo from the Seattle Waterfront Harbor Sightseeing Cruise on Elliott Bay, The Great Wheel and a favorite skyline view

Pages 2-3: Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquarium, Space Needle, Cruise Line and a list of top places I visited during the trip

Pages 4-5: Seattle Aquarium, Chihuly Garden and Glass

Page 6 (Back cover): Convention Center, view from my hotel room, Polish Pottery Place and a few quick snapshots at my poster session before I talked about my research non-stop for several hours...

I hope you've enjoyed this mini tour of Seattle through the eyes of a first-time visitor. I would be more than happy to make my way over to the NW Coast again very soon.

Have you traveled to Seattle? Have you lived or do you live there? I'd love to see your travel pages using Project Life too. And if you have any recommendations for future sight-seeing activities, I'd love to hear those as well.

Until next time,
Teresa

    1. Kristen- Thanks for stopping by and especially for your sweet comment! So happy these pages are helpful for ideas! :) I admit it's sometimes hard to hold back on the embellishing, but I always come back to simple in the end. We like what we like, right? :) Hope to "see" you again soon!
